Vibhuti / విభూతి

Vibhuti / విభూతి (Sacred Ash) holds immense spiritual significance in Hindu traditions and is widely used in religious ceremonies for its purifying and protective properties. Made from the holy ash of sacred wood burnt in yagnas (fire rituals), Vibhuti symbolizes divine energy, purity, and the transient nature of life.

In pooja, Vibhuti is applied to the forehead in three horizontal lines, representing devotion to Lord Shiva and the conquest over worldly desires. It is also sprinkled around the sacred space to cleanse negative energies and create a spiritually charged atmosphere.
